Nice Cabin off the Beaten Path, with large trees around it. Cabin has plenty of parking off the street (local parking code states 3 vehicles for a maximum 8 person accommodation). Rate this as a good place for any season of the year.
A guest from La Mesa, ca recommends this
property.Stayed 2 days in
September, 2008This cabin was reasonably priced for what it had to offer. If you wanted a yard for young children to be able to play in, there wasn't a fence in the front of the property to close off a play area. We didn't know if the owner of this property was selling it, or had just purchased it. It still had a real estate sale sign out front. There was evidence the owner was in the middle of remodeling, as there was a missing towel bar in the full bathroom, shelves missing in cabinets, stuff collected in kitchen drawers, messes in closets and cabinets that should not have been there, a very noisy exhaust fan in the 1/2 bathroom upstairs that came on with every flip of the light switch, and what was very disappointing was a jacuzzi room that had no drainage should the water splash from the jacuzzi and get on the floor. Be prepared to mop up all water that goes over the side, and hang out the rugs to dry well before you leave. The owner must have just painted the wooden poles crossing from side to side above the jacuzzi (where we think the jacuzzi cover was supposed to be stored, but the poles fell when we tried to put the cover on them....they were not screwed or nailed down but just held in slotted plastic cup-like ends). The jacuzzi was nice, but it seemed over chlorinated and did make one feel like sitting in a chemical bath. The enclosed patio where the jacuzzi was in is nice if you are interested in staying inside during cold, or snowy weather.
One small bedroom with 2 double twins was tiny and rather cramped. To get to the (master) bedroom, one has to traverse through a smaller bedrooom with 2 double twin beds and a double size mattress on the floor. There is no hallway leading to each bedroom upstairs, only a run up the stairs and you have to almost immediately turn left into one bedroom, or right into another. You just need to know where the last step is before you start heading back downstairs! Furnishings-- beds were very comfortable!
