Great property, very nice location. Only complaint I would have is that the drapes in the master bedroom are very transparent, especially at night with the light on. Other than that, great location

This was our fourth visit to the island of Kauai and to Princeville. Although this was the first time we stayed at The Plantations we found the location and accomodations to be fantastic. Thank you to the management of Remax Kauai for providing all the information to make our stay comfortable and relaxing...we will definitely be back soon to experience this little piece of paradise on earth.Mahalo!Mike and Noreen Kennedy
Unit 1511 was in wonderful condition and met my business needs perfectly
Just came back from my trip. Great condo, well furnished and clen. Perfect for families with kids. Would recommend it to my friends.
I would have given my overall stay 5 stars, but I wasn't 100% satisfied with the air conditioning. It didn't want to work for the first 3 days, and on the last 4 it only cooled off half the condo because there were only 2 vents. That left one bedroom VERY hot. Everything else was great with a minor exception: light blue towels had lots of red dirt stains and I wasn't sure if they had been washed. The condo had everything we needed, from pots and pans, to a cooler and snorkel set. Thanks for the painless check-in/check-out process!

The instructions to get in were easy to follow, the rental was well appointed, tastefully decorated. I've stayed in other rentals before and the kitchen had numerous items that were helpful for our many home cooked meals. We were very pleased.
This place has the potential to be perfect, they just need to do something about all the roaches. Kauai is a humid, tropical island and because of the environment there are going to be some bugs. So when I say that this place had roaches, I don't mean 1 or 2 (or even 5 or 6). What I mean is that every time we came home at night and turned on the kitchen light there were 10-15 ladybug sized roaches scurrying across the counter tops (and we never left any food out!). We stayed for eight nights, so you do the math on how many total roaches that is. Yuk! Other than that, the place was perfect and very affordable.
We liked the location in Princeville and the unit, but it had roaches. I know the climate in Hawaii is perfect for bugs, but roaches can be kept at bay with regular visits from an exterminator. If unit 1511 has them, then all the attached units most likely has them. Makes for an uncomfortable stay. There was also only one barbeque for the entire complex. If you want to grill anything, get there early.
Each time that I contacted the rental agency, everyone was helpful. The place was very clean and the garage was a nice bonus. I would definetly recommend this rental.
We enjoyed our recent stay at this property and especially appreciated the use of the beach equipment that was there, beach chairs, cooler, etc.
We stayed at the Plantations at Princeville complex for 4 days and we had a great time. It's conveniently located within the Princeville community on the north shore and the condo was well taken care of. It was nice to have a full kitchen, in-house laundry facilities and even a BBQ (we BBQ'd one night by the pool) to use. We would definitely stay at this complex again.
The property was listed with 2 queen beds and a double. The double is a aero bed which was missing from our property. On the fourth day it was finally delvered by the remax property manager who was not friendly or accomodating. The Plantations property manager wanted the kids to be absoloutely quiet at the pool. They were not allowed to play silent marco polo or do anything remotely fun. Most of these properties are owned and lived in by grumpy elders who should not have bought so near to the pool! I would recommend this place for a couple only. However, the condo is beautiful and well kept.
The property was very clean and neat. And it's located near shopping center and beaches. Great!
great place if you don't mind driving,since it is not on the beach.Very well equiped with beach chairs ,cooler ect.We had a geat time
