  Long black hairs were found in the bathroom, on the countertop and a mass of hair in the dryer. Mouse droppings were on top of the refrigerator.
  The first day we arrived we contacted the property owner about a broken screen and the sliding glass door not having a lock. No action was taken the entire week.
  There was not an adequate fan in the sleeping area. The high setting put out the amount of air of an average low setting you would find on most fans.

  We're a little confused because as the management company, we do not have any record of a call from these guests; and we checked also with the owner. We also checked the screen and sliding glass door and both seem to be in good working order with no broken screen. We are very sorry if the guests were not happy but we would have tried to correct the situation had we been called.

  We enjoyed our stay in Maui very much. The room was simple and cozy. It offered everything we needed for our stay. A place to sleep and eat. Was a little disappointed that the fridge was not cleaner and would have like to see new towels with out bleach stains.The convenience of the condo was fantastic!Overall, it was a great place to stay while in Maui.

  We would not complain at all about the price. It is located in the very back of the complex, which is a beautiful property with flowering hibiscus, plumeria, bird of paradise, all sorts of other flowering trees and shrubs, it's fantastic! The two pools are small, but nice. The location of the condo itself is the reason there's a "five minute walk to the beach" (Kama'ole Beach II, not a bad one at all). The view from the "lanai" (I call it a small balcony)of the mountain is nice and the distant view of the beach beyond the other condos is good too, but what is up with that empty yellowing field in the back?
  Also...The one bed is somewhat hard and the sofa bed is extra worn and lumpy. The linens were worn. The kitchen is worn, but we did enjoy having it, although without an A/C it really is too hot to use the oven or stove. The "high speed" internet never got a connection above low, and I couldn't do much on my laptop except check a few websites, even e-mail was slow or dropped. The overall room space isn't utilized well. It's too small for a sofa table, "coffee table" and the big lamps. Use wall space for sconces, shelves with doors, etc.
  It was really too small for 3 adults, but they did warn us, quite politely, I might add. It is a distance from Lahaina (20 miles), where all the parasailing, cruises, luaus and many other activities are located, but that was fine with us. We enjoyed our stay, and like the Kihei area with its mix of locals and tourists very much. The condo is very cozy.

  We enjoyed the stay very much, it was like staying at friend's house! There is snorkeling gear, umbrellas, boogie board and all the things you need and forgot to take..
  The view from the apartment is great and the studio is spacious. Very nice beach is 3 minute walking distance.
  The property manager was very helpful in addressing our needs. When we go to Maui next time, would definitely rent this studio again!

  We rented two condos, 516 and 603. 516 was a studio and the ONLY bad thing to say is it didn't have a dishwasher. 603 was a one bedroom, with a pull-out bed in the living room. I actually preferred the pull-out as you received a great cross breeze..bedroom was a little warm for me. These condos were a 5 minute walk to the beach, 15 min. walk to the Abc store, health food store, and Denny's restaurant. 10 min. drive to Big (McKenna) beach, best boogie boarding beach in Maui. HUGE waves, not for wimps. (=

  There are only 3 wash cloths which is insufficient. It means laundry has to be done more frequently than necessary.
  The broom is quite small (5"wide) so it takes a long time to sweep the apartment. A larger broom would be very useful. The cable was coiled up in a drawer, it would be helpful if there was a small note near the hookup directions for the computer letting the guest know its location. Or leave it hooked up to the box & have it hang behind the TV set.
  
  Everything was so clean, attractive, neat and provided me with a very comfortable set of rooms. Thanks for your efforts. I will return some day and would use the same condo without reservation. Thanks for making my visit pleasant.

  This could be a 4 star unit with little
  TLC.
  Curtain ripped and dirty. Kitchen range needs replacement. Sofa ripped. Refrigerater has a bad appearance; but works fine. Kitchen over all cleanliness could be improved. Remove old food.

  The property is on the main street in Kihei and so is convenient. It is right at the back of the property, on the corner and so did not have a sea view.
  The appartment in many ways seemed a little tired.
  
  It is near some shops and restaurants which get very busy in the evening.
  
  Check in was fine and everything worked.
  
  Maui is a lovely island and Kihei is a middle-of-the raod for price area in the sunniest part of the island.

  the efficiency was not spotless--there were many dark hairs all over upon arrival--I had to vacuum immediately.
  The condo needed drastic updating--furniture, appliances, bathroom. Numerous items were hard to work--TV, remotes, fan, overhead light. Others we did not use--they seemed dangerous--stove, oven.

  This unit advertised to accomodate 3 with a double murphy bed and a double sleeper sofa. We were 2 adult sisters sharing the unit and are regular visitors to Maui. The murphy bed was quite comfortable but the sofa should not be used even with the skinny foamies provided. Only 1 blanket was supplied and no other covers for the cool nights. The dials on the kitchen stove are not legible making it a hazard to operate even when you are used to gas stoves as we are. The range hood was disgustingly dirty as were the exhaust fans in the bathroom (that did not operate). The inside eating table top is broken from its legs. We felt uncomfortable with the condition of the kitchen amenities (toaster, cups, glasses) but there is no doubt the view from the lanai is spectacular day and night. The studio space is quite adequate with nice floors and bathroom but we think that most vacationeers would not find this unit to be a pleasant place to stay due to its general condition. We toured some other studios in the complex and found a much better quality and the same price point. We would not recommend this unit but absolutely do recommend Hawaii Holiday Vacations and the Kihei Akahi!

  Wow what a great trip! Maui is paradise. We loved the location of our condo and would definaty go back to the same area again. The condo was well equiped with everything we needed. We were a little dispointed with the cleanliness and age of appliences but for the price, it was great. The bed was comfy and view was perfect. Thanks Hawaii Holiday Vaction Rentals!

  Hi,
  We were unable to sleep in the murphy bed as the enclosure unit had been recently painted and the smell of the paint was more unplesant and made me sick.We tryed to air it out with no sucess. The pull out sofa bed was also unsleepable so in the end we rented a room at the Coast Hotel for 3 of the 4 nights. this made our stay a lot more expensive than we had planned.
  Also there was only 2 pillows in the room, a couple more would have been nice.
  The location and the rest of the property amemities were great.

  The first day the micowave blew up and a kitchen cabinet door fell off it's hinges. I found three screws at the park across the street and repaired the door. The condo was away from the highway so no traffic noise. management was helpful. ALL the electrical outlets need changed. I would have done that too, but my wife said we were on vacation. Over all-It was nice.
