I felt like the pictures of the cabin were misleading. The cabin was at the bottom of a mountain, there wasn't much of a view and it was very close to a road where you could hear traffic go by while inside. The water pressure decreased every time the shower or jacuzzi were used. The staff was friendly but I wouldn't stay at that specific cabin again.
The only dissatisfaction was that there was no place (chest of drawers) to unpack suitcase for our stay.
Well it was the place I stayed in for two night with my wife and it was Awesome. I recommend it for any couple that wanted to stay for a great weekend in the moutians.
Many of the amenities were problematic, Dvd player didn't work, insects in the shower, white stains on the blanket. We do not feel we received value for what we paid for. When we told the desk about the problems they offered us 10% off our next visit but nothing for what we paid for, we will not be staying with you again and I will not let anyone I know rent your cabins.

I was very disappointed in the fact that you misrepresented the fact that this was a 1 bedroom CABIN. There was a family reunion going on in the cabin that we were attached to. There was no iron or ironing board, which we had to buy because our son was getting married and we had to press our clothes. There was no outside grill as you stated. Our room was nice but not what was advertised.

This was the first year that we were able to get a way for our anniversary. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our little hideaway tremendously. The cabin was beautiful and we could not have been happier! We will be back soon!

We liked the cabin - it was great for the price compared to our hotel options. One complaint however - the water pressure WAS BAD. We barely had enough water pressure to take a shower, and it took about 2 hours for the jacuzzi to fill enough for us to use it, and by that time the water wasn't even warm.
We truly did not know what to expect, however, it was exactly like the picture! We could not have been more pleased - definitely, return customers!!
The Sugar Shack is just the right place for a romantic get-a-way. The location was great, but we did have a problem with the directions that we were given. They state that there is a stop sign at the bottom of the hill on Rush Branch Road and there wasn't. They also state that there is a Dream on the Stream sign on your right and a large sign saying Caney Creek County behind the split rail fence in the yard. These signs were either not there, or not visible. However, there is a Dream on the Stream sign on a tree to your left once you are in the driveway to the cabin. We had to ride around a little before finding the cabin, but I'm sure the direction issue will be corrected. Other than this little inconvenience initially, we had a great weekend.
My only complaint was that the bed was to uncomfortable to sleep on. My wife and I ended up sleeping on the sofas.
I loved this cabin and didn't want to leave. I hope to stay in this cabin every year.
The sugar shack was the most beautiful cabin I have ever seen!!! It looked more beautiful than the husband and I will definately stay with American Mountain Rentals again

We liked the floor plan alot. But we found 3 dead spiders and 4 alive. :| We noticed 2 cob webs in the bathroom. We were also expecting a cabin not a chalet. I'm glad we only decided to stay for 2 nights, because there was no where to store your clothes. The bed was very squeaky with little movement.
We totaly enjoyed the Sugar Shack. It was very clean very well maintained and quite and peaceful. W are looking forward to a ruturn vist at the Sugar Shack. This is one of the best in the mountians.
I attemtped, during my stay, to get a few things fixed or taken care of; however, the staff did not care to hear them. When the cabin was originally booked, through the internet, the description included a washer/dryer, grill, and dish washer. Upon arrival, these items did not exist. Like I said, I brought this to the staff attention, but between the time I reserved the cabin and arrived, the description on the internet had been changed without any notification. If these items didn't exist, I would have booked a different cabin! At least I could have been notified. The cabin was booked serveral months in advance.
